On the occasion of Harishyani Ekadashi, Garima Bikas Bank Limited successfully organized a tree plantation program on Sunday, 22nd Asar 2082 B.S., as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The program focused on planting Bar and Peepal, which hold significant religious and environmental importance, across six different locations in Nepal.
The tree plantation activities were carried out in the following areas:
-
Khorpathe Danda and Tulsighat in Kaski District
-
Gahrau Kalika Temple premises, Shitaltar Park Chapakot, and Chhayakshetra Shiva Temple area in Syangja district
-
Motipur Bridge area in Dang district
The event saw enthusiastic participation from the Bank’s Chairman, former Chairman, local representatives, social workers, employees, shareholders, and the general public. The Bank believes that such initiatives contribute significantly to environmental conservation, promote green development, and help preserve religious heritage. The Bank aims to hand over a cleaner and greener environment to future generations.
Furthermore, the bank has plans to develop these plantation sites into community rest areas (Bar-Peepal Chautari) in the days to come. Aligned with its commitment to sustainable development, ecological balance, and social responsibility, Garima Bikas Bank continues to actively organize and support such meaningful programs.
