Our Journey

Garima Bikas Bank Limited, a National Level Development Bank headquartered in Waling, Syangja, commenced its commercial operations on the 18th of Kartik, 2064 and the formal inauguration took place on the 7th of Marg, 2064. The bank, which initially started its banking transactions with a paid-up capital of only NPR 26.5 million, had covered three districts i.e Syangja, Palpa, and Kaski as a Regional Level Development Bank. On the 20th of Chaitra, 2068, its business coverage area was expanded to 10 districts.

Garima Bikas Bank, with a commitment to "Access to All," overcame limited business coverage and service distribution challenges by strategically becoming a National Level Development Bank. Through mergers with erstwhile Nilgiri Bikas Bank Limited on 29^th of Asadh 2072 and erstwhile Subekshya Bikas Bank Limited on 4^th of Ashwin 2073, the bank strengthened its capital base, expanded branch locations, and improved overall operations. The recent acquisition of Sahara Bikas Bank Limited on 28^th of Kartik 2078 further enhances our presence in Province 2. As a result, Garima Bikas Bank has transformed into a robust financial institution, offering a wide range of banking services to a larger customer base and ensuring accessible and reliable banking services across Nepal.

Present Scenario

Our head office is located at Kathmandu 02, Lazimpat, Kathmandu. With 121 branches and 50 strategically placed ATMs, we ensure convenient access to our financial services for our valued customers.

Garima Bikas Bank started its operation on 7th Mangsir, 2064 (23rd November, 2007). Since the establishment, our Bank has been adhering to its vision which is “To be the leading development Bank of Nepal by providing access to all”. We are a resource to many, offering advice and support beyond the bank doors. We continue to be focused on building relationships and emphasizing our loyalty as our customers select Garima Bikas Bank as their trusted financial partner.

I believe in good corporate governance and zero tolerance on non-compliance issues. The Bank has shown a growth with continuous improvement in service quality throughout the years and has performed in line with the vision and mission to contribute the nation for sustainable economic development, serve the different category of customers by providing financial access and quality banking products and services, maximize the value of shareholders’ wealth, provide excellent growth opportunities to the employees and meet the expectations of other stakeholders. At present more than 6 lacs customers from different regions of Nepal are associated with the Bank. We have 121 branch outlets and 50 ATM terminals spread across the country.

Garima Bikas Bank has handed over public awareness materials to traffic police officers

Bank in coordination with its New Road branch has handed over traffic awareness materials to the Traffic Police Public Service Department, New Road, Kathmandu on Thursday, 16th June 2079. This bank believes that this type of traffic awareness material will be very useful to reduce the increasing traffic problem and the possible risk caused by it.
