Garima Road Race 2082

Garima Development Bank Limited is organizing the second edition of the Garima Road Race 2082 on the occasion of its 19th Annual Celebration, under the theme "Sports for Health." The event is scheduled for Mangsir 6, 2082 (Saturday). Following the success of the previous year, the competition will feature multiple categories:

• Open (Men and Women): 10 kilometers

• Corporate (Men and Women): 5 kilometers

• Veteran (Men and Women): 5 kilometers

This year, a new Veteran category has been introduced to include participants over the age of 45 for women and 50 for men, in response to the growing demand for inclusivity. Around 1,000 participants are expected to take part in Garima Road Race 2082.

Cash Prizes:

• Open Category:

  • 1st place: NPR 50,000

  • 2nd place: NPR 35,000

  • 3rd place: NPR 20,000

  • 4th place: NPR 15,000

  • 5th place: NPR 10,000

• Corporate and Veteran Categories:

  • 1st place: NPR 30,000

  • 2nd place: NPR 20,000

  • 3rd place: NPR 14,000

  • 4th place: NPR 10,000

  • 5th place: NPR 7,000

The race will begin at the Garima Bikas Bank’s proposed headquarters building in Baluwatar, Kathmandu. The route for the Open Category will cover a distance from the headquarters to the Budhanilkantha Municipality (Ward No. 3) office building, then return via the same route to finish at Baluwatar. For the Corporate and Veteran categories, the route will take participants from Baluwatar to Basbari's Neuro Hospital and back to Baluwatar for the finish.

Registration:

To streamline the registration process, Garima Development Bank has partnered with the Khalti app. Interested participants can register via the Khalti app by paying a registration fee of NPR 20 from Kartik 28 (October 15, 2025) to Mangsir 4 (November 20, 2025).

In Garima Road Race 2081, Olympic athlete Santoshii Shrestha was among the 650 participants, and the bank expects a similar or larger turnout this year.
